Saching, during an interview, said that winning the world cup is an unfulfilled dream in his career and he wishes to play in the next world cup which would be played in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
He said, he is focusing series by series and not worried about the next world cup yet. The next world cup has more than 3 years and hence it is not good to think about it now.
He is enjoying the every game that he plays and has not thought about the retirement.
He owns the following world records:
1. Highest run getter in the ODI by any player
2. Highest matches play in the ODI by any player
3. Highest number of hundreds in ODI by any player--42 hundreds
4. Highest number of hundreds in Test Matches by any player--39 hundreds
5. Second highest run getter in Test Matches by any player; first is Lara
6. Highest number of man of the matches in ODI by any player
7. He has 81 international hundreds, which is again the highest by any player
If he plays till 2011 world cup, he would have scored more than 100 hundreds in international cricket and cross 50 in each form of cricket. He would have crossed 20000 runs in ODI and 15000 runs in Test.
If he does it, it will be good for Indian cricket. Only player is, his health should permit him to play till then.
