The ICC Awards for the year 2008 was announced recently.
Dhoni and Yuvaraj from India won an award each though there were two other nominations--Sachin and Ishanth Sharma.
Dhoni was chosen as ODI Player of the Year; Yuvaraj Singh was choses as T20 Player of the Year Sri Lankan Ajantha Mendis won the Most Promising Cricketer of the Year.
Sri Lanka won the Most Spirited Team of the Year award and the skipper Jayawardane was extremely happy that his team won this award for the second consecutive time.
