5th Match: Sri Lanka scores first winning points!

The 21 over match should have set the mind-set of 20 over game for the Sri Lankans while chasing the target of 154.

The match was reduced to 29 overs a side and Tendulkar after the early loss of Shewag for 14, was timing the ball well. He scored 32 off 30 balls with 4 fours, fell immediately after Shewag. Gambhir, the in-form batsman was runout for 35. The score was 113 for 3 in 20 overs. With 9 overs remaining, Rohit Sharma played a beautiful innings of his life so far, with 70 not out off 64 balls with 6 fours and a six. He and Dhoni (31 off 26 balls with 3 fours) add 68 runs 7.4 overs and that helped India to reach 195 in 29 overs.

Sri Lankan' run chase begun with Dilshan and Jayasuria opening the innings. Jayasuria started with his usual batting and took only 13 balls for his 27 with 2 fours and 2 sixes. When Jayasuria was out, the score was 45 in 3.5 overs. In 7 overs, the score was 69. Dilshan contribution was huge for the Sri Lankan innings. He scored 62 off 59 balls with 6 fours and a six. Jayawardane played a sensible innings and he scored 36 off 35 balls. Sreesanth's bowling was very poor, he conceded 34 in his first 2 overs! He was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lankan's and he finished with 48 off 3 overs. Sri Lanka won with 2 overs to spare!!!
