The BCCI (Board of control for Cricket in India) announced an incentive of Rs.15 lakhs for each player of the Indian team for their history win against New Zealand in both Test and ODI series.
This was the first test series win after 41 years and first ODI series win. The last time they won the test series was in 1968 under the leadership Pataudi.
Indian team lost both the T20 matches, though they came close in the 2nd T20. The team showed class and bounced back in the ODI series. The team won the 5 match series 3-1 with one match abandoned.
The team won the 3-match test series 1-0. They're close to losing the 2nd Test but Gambhir and Laxman scored century and saved the test after a follow-on. India had good chance of winning the third test but rain and small mis-calculation by Dhoni prevented it.
BCCI president Shashank Manohar, while congratulating the team, announced the bonus for ech player involved in both Tests and ODIs.--PTI
