T20: Aus v. Pak: Australia tumble as Umar Gul pick 4 Wkts!

Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul picked 4 wickets in his 4 over spell which put Australia completely on the back foot. He gave away just 8 runs and played a vital role in restricting Australia to 108.

Though Watson and Haddin started well by adding 42 in 4 overs, Umar Gul played the spoil sport for the Aussies.

Pakistan was never under pressure in reaching the target. This is their first T20 in this year and will boost their confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup to be played in England.

2nd ODI: Pak v. WI: Pakistan win the series!

Pakistan beat WI by 24 runs in the 2nd ODI played on November 14, 2008 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both teams are playing in 3 ODIs in the netural venue due to security concerns in Pakistan.

Winning the toss and batting first, Misbah's half century and Kamran Akmal's 45 helped Pakistan to put a decent total of 232. Not sure what happened to WIs as they were bundled out for 208 with 7 more deliveries which needed 25 runs to equal the series.

Chanderpaul's century couldn't help WI though he was playing in one end, the wickets were falling on the other end. Umar Gul was the pick of the bowler picking 3 wickets. The other disaster for WIs were the poor running between the wickets. Marshal and Findlay were run out for 1 and 12 respectively.

Sohail Tanvir picked Gayle for a duck in the first over. In the fifth over, he picked the other opener Chattergoon also for a duck. For his two wickets and for scoring 26 crucial runs in batting, he was given man of the match award.

Earlier, struggling at 7 for 2, Younis Khan and Misbah put on 51 runs for the 3rd wicket. Later, Kamran Akmal and Shahid Afridi added 52 runs for the 6th wicket to put a moderate schoolf of 232.
