Brett Lee returns home! Out of India Series!

Brett Lee returns home due to elbow injury, not to play remaining ODIs against Indian
The Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has been ruled out for the rest of the ODI series against India. He returned to Australia for treatment.

During the first ODI in Vadodara, he could not bowl his full quota of 10 overs. Watson and Hilfenhaus bowled the end overs in which India scored huge runs and came close to winning the match.

Due to his elbow injury he missed the 2nd ODI in Nagpur. The injury is the latest setback for Lee who also missed the Ashes in England due to fitness problems.

"Brett's elbow injury has not responded as well to treatment as we would have liked and therefore a decision has been made to send him home to consult with an elbow specialist. With an accurate diagnosis we can determine how best to manage the injury and give Brett the best chance of being available for selection at the beginning of the Australian summer," said Cricket Australia physiotherapist Kevin Sims.

With Hopes already not available for the next two ODIs, it is a big blow for Australia. Their premier bowler is not going to be available for the remaining 5 ODIs.

Lee denied the report that the injury was due to his participation in the Champions League.
