The start Indian batsman and the leading run scorer in both ODI and Test cricket, the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar fainted in South Africa after returning to hotel on Monday.
India was ousted from the Champions Trophy after losing their opening match to Pakistan and a no resulter against Australia. After the match was called off, Tendulkar returned to the hotel room but was reported to have fainted and fell flat on the face. Luckily there was no fracture in any part of his body especially the skull or the eyes.
The cut on Tendulkar's cheek was the result of his fall in a Johannesburg hotel. Sachin apparently had a stomach infection after India's match against Australia and when he returned to his hotel room, the seasoned batsman started feeling giddy. Tendulkar's left eye looked swollen when he and other players were whisked away from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Reports quoted Tendulkar as saying that he ate something at the stadium in Centurion after India's washed out match against Australia and that probably led to the stomach infection.
The cut mark on his cheek and a black patch on his nose heal on time before Championns League and the ODI series against Australia.
