Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has created a new record record by scoring a wondeful century against Australia in the 2nd ODI in Nagpur.
He scored 124 in 107 balls which had 9 fours and 3 sixes. During his wonderful innings, he created the following records:
- He became the first captain to score a hundred against Australia in ODI; Jayasuriya had the record earlier with this 122 in Sydney in 2004;
- He became the highest scorer against Australia as wicket keeper batsman beating Kamran Akmal off Pakistan's record of 115;
- He has scored the fastest hundred against Australia as a captain.
He was involved in two hundred runs partnership during his knock. For 4th wicket, Dhoni and Gambhir added 119 runs in 28.1 overs; Raina joined Dhoni for the 5th wicket and they added 136 in 15.3 overs.
India scored 354 for 7 in 50 overs, beating their earlier highest score of 315 in 2001 in Bangalore.
