India has scored a mammoth total of 354 for 7 in 50 overs in the 2nd ODI against Australia in Nagpur.
Their previous best against Australia was 315 in 2001 in Bangalore. This is the best score by any team against Australia, batting first.
Skipper Dhoni lead from the front after the departure of Tendulkar, Sehwag and Yuvaraj. He paired up with Gambhir when India was 97 for 3 in 15.1 overs.
India saw 2 hundred-runs partnership which really boosted the scoreboard. Though the first 4 overs of batting powerplay was not properly utilized, India scored 18 runs of the last powerplay over kick-starting the firework. India took powerplay from 40 to 44 overs in which they scored 47 runs.
In the last 10 overs of the innings, India scored 108 runs with Dhoni contributing 54 and Raina 50.
Australia's record run chase was 326 against South Africa.
