BCCI has sent the nominations for the ICC Awards. Dhoni has been nominated for three categories. All the awards are for the player of the year awards--ICC Player of the Year, Test Player of the Year, ODI Player of the Year. It is a good year for Dhoni. Other players are, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Laxman, Yuvaraj Singh, Sehwag, and Zaheer Khan,
The nominations are:
ICC Player of the Year: Dhoni, Gambhir, and Harbhajan
Test Player of the Year: Dhoni, Gambhir, Harbhajan, and VVS Laxman
ODI Player of the Year: Dhoin, Yuvaraj, and Sehwag
T20 Performer of the Year: Zaheer Khan
Emerging Player of the Year: Amit Mishra
Women Cricket of the Year: Mithali Raj
The nominations were announced by dashing Indian opener Virender Sehwag and former captain Ravi Shastri in the presence of International Cricket Council Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat while the awards will be presented on October 1 in Johannesburg, South Africa during the Champions Trophy.
