Sachin suggested a new formula for ODI game. Recently there were lot of opinions coming from several players, coaches, cricketing bodies. England abolished the 50-over ODI format in their domestic season.
Sachin said, "I am for 50-over cricket," in an interview to the Times Now channel. He said, "I was thinking of probably 25 overs each to start with and again you go and play 25 overs."
He remembered the ICC Champions Trophy final in Srk Lanka held in 2002 where the Sri Lankans batted their full innings for two days in a row but rain forced abandonment of the match and the trophy was shared between two teams.
"This is also because in certain places, in day-night matches the conditions are completely different when you bat or bowl second," he said.
"So both sides (will) get to bat when the lights are not on. Then both bat when the lights are on, 25 overs," he said. "So it is not so heavily dependent on toss."
Other cricket players like Kapil Dev, Dean Jones have come out with their version.
